Hi everyone, my name is Anastasia. I'm new to the team. I started in February as a co-op student and was hired to work at this fantastic pet resort. Here is a little about me and my passion for animals.
I am attending St. Lawrence College this September for three years to become a Veterinary Technician. I hope to further my education to become a Zoologist or to work in a Rehabilitation Center so I can work with all the wild animals that people only dream of.
I have always had a passion and love for giraffes ever since I was a little girl. Giraffes have been my life and the reason I want to persue a career with wild animals. All types of animals make me the happiest person and I’m so glad I get the chance to persue my dream.
I have always had a love for dogs as well all my life. When I was only three years old I adopted my first dog and his name was Copper. He was a fun loving beagle that became my childhood best friend. He lived up to 14 years and was the most amazing and most incredible dog I could ever ask for. Sadly, he passed away in August of 2022 and it flipped my world upside down.
Thankfully, late this past January I got to meet my new best friend in dog form. His name is Melvin ,he's a Labrador Retriever and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. He's helped me overcome my heartbreak of losing Copper.
When it comes to hobbies, I have many. During school I play Rugby & Curling, and I'm involved in Leadership & Tutoring as well. When it comes to my personal life, I love Camping, Fishing, anything that allows me to explore the outdoors, and I also love to play badminton. One of my dreams is to travel the world, hopefully one day I will get the chance to.
I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to show all my love to your fur babies. I look forward to meeting you and your pawsitive family.
